Dear Colleague:

   Are you interested in becoming a mentor or advisor to a faculty member new to Bethlehem Central School District?  Mentor and advisor teachers are exemplary classroom teachers who are able to model excellent instructional practice and convey critical insights to new colleagues.  

As a mentor, you will be asked, for a period of one year, to:

A.  Acclimate new teachers to the culture   of their schools and community

B.  Serve as their sponsor, coach and guide;

C.  Provide them with confidential, objective feedback about their teaching

D.  Assist them in expanding their instructional repertoire; and encourage them to become reflective about their teaching.
