Some information for BCTA retirees: 

As a former member of the BCTA and NYSUT you automatically become a member of NYSUT retirement council 10.  There is no charge for retirees’ NYSUT membership. You will continue to receive The New York Teacher as well as the RC 10 newsletter. RC 10 asks that you contribute $10.00 to help defray the costs of the council but this is a voluntary contribution.

At this time there is no retiree liaison with the BCTA and RC 10. The role is important; retirees have the right to have a representative attend rep council meetings and regional RC 10 meetings. Information important to the retirees from both groups could then be shared on this website.   If anyone is interested, please let me know and I will send you any necessary information and contact numbers.
